THIS ARTICLE DISCUSSES, FROM THE PERSPECTIVE OF THE INSURANCE INDUSTRY, THE IMPORTANCE OF UTILIZING EFFECTIVE SECURITY MEASURES TO PROTECT BANKS AND BANK PERSONNEL FROM ROBBERIES AND BURGLARIES.
Abstract
THE AUTHOR DISCUSSES CURRENT INSURANCE CONDITIONS AND PRACTICES, AND STRESSES THE ROLE OF INSURANCE COMPANIES IN PROMOTING BETTER SECURITY, FOR EXAMPLE BY GRANTING PREMIUM REBATES WHERE CERTAIN SAFETY PRECAUTIONS ARE TAKEN OR PARTICULAR SECURITY DEVICES ARE USED, WHILE REFUSING TO GRANT INSURANCE COVERAGE WHERE SECURITY MEASURES ARE INADEQUATE. SPECIFIC SECURITY PRECAUTIONS ARE DISCUSSED WITH RESPECT TO SAFES, ALARM SYSTEMS, METHODS OF HANDLING CASH, AND BANK COURIERS. --IN FRENCH
