BASED ON LATE INFORMATION RECEIVED FROM NINE COUNTRIES, THIS REPORT SUPPLIEMENTS AN EARLIER REPORT OF INTERPOL ON MEASURES TAKEN BY MEMBER COUNTRIES TO GUARANTEE THE SECURITY OF INTERNATIONAL CIVIL AVIATION.
Abstract
PRACTICAL SECURITY MEASURES UNDERTAKEN BY THESE COUNTRIES ARE DESCRIBED, INCLUDING PROTECTION OF AIRCRAFT AND INSTALLATIONS ON THE GROUND, CHECKING OF PASSENGERS AND LUGGAGE, AND CHECKING OF UNACCOMPANIED LUGGAGE AND CARGO. PERIMETER SECURITY, EMERGENCY PROCEDURES, AND IN-FLIGHT SECURITY ARE ALSO DISCUSSED. LEGAL PROVISIONS ADOPTED AND INTERNATIONAL AGREEMENTS SIGNED BY AFFILIATED COUNTRIES TO PREVENT AND SUPPRESS UNLAWFUL INTERFERENCE IN CIVIL AVIATION ARE ALSO DISCUSSED.
