Abstract
THIS BOOKLET DISCUSSES THE BENEFITS TO BE DERIVED FROM USING VOLUNTEERS. SUCH BENEFITS INCLUDE AMPLIFICATION, DIVERSIFICATION, AND HUMANIZATION OF SERVICES, EDUCATION AND ENHANCED SUPPORT IN THE COMMUNITY, AND SELF-HELP FOR THE VOLUNTEER. THE DOCUMENT EXAMINES THE ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITY OF THE COURT, AND OTHER YOUTH SERVING AGENCIES, AND PRESENTS GUIDELINES FOR THE VOLUNTEER IN FINDING AND SELECTING AN ORGANIZATION IN WHICH TO WORK.
