WHORL PATTERNS ARE CODED USING THE NCIC SYSTEM AND IDENTIFIED WITH THE AID OF DRAWINGS.
Abstract
A WHORL IS THAT TYPE OF PATTERN AT LEAST TWO DELTAS AND ONE OR MORE RECURVING RIDGES IN FRONT OF EACH DELTA. INNER WHORLS, OUTER WHORLS, MEET WHORLS, CENTRAL POCKET LOOP TYPE WHORLS, PLAIN WHORLS, DOUBLE LOOP TYPE WHORLS, ACCIDENTAL WHORLS, AND LOOP TYPE PATTERNS THAT RESEMBLE WHORLS ARE ALL DIAGRAMMED AND IDENTIFIED.
