Abstract
THE AUTHOR DESCRIBES SITUATIONS UTILIZED IN THE CINCINNATI POLICE DEPARTMENT'S SIMULATED STRESS GROUP METHOD AS WELL AS PHASES OF THE PROGRAM AND REPORTS ON A VALIDATION STUDY OF THE METHOD. CONTRIBUTIONS MADE BY THE SIMULATED STRESS RECRUIT SELECTION METHOD TO THE DEVELOPMENT OF A STRESS MANAGEMENT MODEL FOR POLICE SYSTEMS ARE IDENTIFIED.
