CRISIS INTERVENTION OF ALL KINDS IS A LARGE AND VALUABLE PART OF POLICE WORK. RECOGNITION OF THIS FUNCTION SHOULD BE GIVEN AND TRAINING SHOULD SERVE TO ENHANCE THESE TECHNIQUES, NOT IMPOSE THOSE OF OTHER PROFESSIONS.
