A POLISH JUDGE COMMENTS ON THE RELATIONSHIP OF CRIME TO SOCIO-ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT, THE NEED FOR THE PUBLIC'S PARTICIPATION IN CRIME CONTROL, AND POLAND'S PENAL CODES.
Abstract
THE AUTHOR STATES THAT THE ENACTMENT OF NEW PENAL LAWS IN POLAND HAS RESULTED IN INCREASED EFFECTIVENESS OF MEASURES TO PREVENT AND CONTROL CRIMINALITY - BY IMPROVING THE PROGRAMMING AND PLANNING OF THE STRUGGLE AGAINST DELINQUENCY, BY EXTENDING INTERDISCIPLINARY RESEARCH ON CRIMINALITY, AND BY INTRODUCING NEW EDUCATIONAL AND PENITENTIARY EXPERIMENTS.
