THIS PAPER DESCRIBES THE DEVELOPMENT OF A TESTING INSTRUMENT WHICH AIMS AT CONCEPTUALIZING AMD MEASURING SOME ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS TO PROVIDE A TOOL FOR ASSESSING THE SOCIAL CLIMATE OF AN INSTITUTION.
Abstract
THE RESEARCH IS INTENDED TO REDUCE INFRACTIONS OF INSTITUTIONAL RULES, IMPROVE THE INMATE'S NATURAL RESOURCES (EDUCATION, VOCATIONAL COMPETENCE, AND SOCIAL PROBLEM-SOLVING SKILLS), AND TO REDUCE RECIDIVISM. THIS PAPER INVOLVES OVERVIEWING RELATED STUDIES, DESCRIBING AND REPORTING THE TESTS THAT WERE ADMINISTERED TO BOTH INMATES AND CORRECTIONAL PERSONNEL TO APPRAISE THE SOCIAL CLIMATE, AND PROMOTING THE EFFECTIVENESS OF THE TESTING FOR DETERMINING INSTITUTIONAL SOCIAL CLIMATE.
