This paper explores the possible contributions of psychology to criminology, but from a perspective which does not consider psychology as its 'service science.'
Abstract
In the framework of criminology, the question of relationship between the empirical nature of this science and its concealed normative content always exists. Using the example of various conception of social control, the author analyzes such normative contents which exist in psychology as models of human beings. Various psychological theories are analyzed and classified in four groups: intrapersonal, interpersonal, positional, and idealogical. 20 footnotes. (Author abstract modified)
