A REORIENTATION TO THE STUDY OF CRIME BY DEVELOPING A THEORETICAL PERSPECTIVE THROUGH MEANS OF WHICH RESEARCH AND WRITING IN CRIMINOLOGY CAN BE REINTERPRETED.
Abstract
THE NOMINALISTIC POSITION IS THE STARTING POINT, A THING EXISTS ONLY WHEN IT IS GIVEN A NAME, ANY PHENOMENON IS REAL TO US ONLY WHEN WE CAN IMAGINE IT. THIS THEORETICAL APPROACH TO CRIME CONSISTS OF SEVERAL RELATED PROCESSES, HOW CRIMINAL DEFINITIONS ARE FORMULATED, HOW CRIMINAL DEFINITIONS ARE APPLIED, HOW BEHAVIOR PATTERNS DEVELOP IN RELATION TO CRIMINAL DEFINITIONS, AND HOW CRIMINAL CONCEPTIONS ARE CONSTRUCTED. A SOCIOLOGY OF CRIME IS SOUGHT THAT FITS INTO PRESENT TIMES. (AUTHOR ABSTRACT)
