The difficulties encountered in establishing a research and treatment program in a juvenile correctional facility, and the results of a psychodrama program are reported.
Abstract
Measurements secured over a ten-year period following the termination of treatment revealed a statistically significant difference between the experimental and control group on a measure of recidivism. Contrary to expectations, psychodrama was found to have been statistically associated with increased criminality over the ten year follow-up period. Several sociological variables were identified which may have interacted with the psychodrama. (Author abstract)
