PREPARATORY COMMUNITY REINTEGRATION PROJECT AT JESSUP CAMP CENTER FOCUSES ON ASSESSING AND MEETING FAMILY AND INDIVIDUAL NEEDS BEFORE AND AFTER RELEASE.
Abstract
MEN WHO ARE WITHIN NINETY DAYS OF RELEASE FROM THIS MINIMUM SECURITY INSTITUTION ARE ELIGIBLE FOR THE PROGRAM. FAMILY THERAPY, PROBLEM IDENTIFICATION, AND COMPREHENSIVE CASE PLANNING ARE INCORPORATED INTO THE REHABILITATION APPROACH. INTERNS FROM MARYLAND SCHOOL OF SOCIAL WORK AND COMMUNITY PLANNING ASSIST IN SERVICE DELIVERY. THE PROJECT IS DEVELOPING A FAMILY ASSESSMENT TO PROVIDE PROGRAM-OPERATING STATISTICS. INCLUDED IN THIS BOOKLET ARE A BRIEF DISCUSSION OF PREVIOUS FAMILY DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEMS AND A BRIEF REVIEW OF THE LITERATURE RELATED TO THE FAMILY AND RELEASE FROM PRISON.
