Abstract
SIXTEEN INVITED PARTICIPANTS FROM CENTRAL AND SOUTH AMERICA, CANADA, AFRICA, EUROPE, AND THE UNITED STATES GATHERED TO EXCHANGE, ON A COMPARATIVE BASIS, DATA AND INSIGHTS CONCERNING THE SOCIOCULTURAL FACTORS IN DRUG ABUSE. REPRESENTATIVES OF THE UNITED NATIONS SOCIAL DEFENCE RESEARCH INSTITUTE, LOCATED IN ROME, ITALY, WHICH HAS CONDUCTED WORLDWIDE STUDIES ON DRUG ABUSE, TOOK PART IN THE DISCUSSIONS AS WELL.
