This report reviews the legislative and policy initiatives of the four major components of the Ministry of the Solicitor General (the Ministry Secretariat, the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, the Correctional Service of Canada, and the National Parole Board) for fiscal year 1983-1984, and outlines priorities and anticipated activities for 1984-1985.
Abstract
During fiscal year 1983-1984, the Ministry used 31,813 person-years, an increase of 0.8 percent from 1982-1983, and incurred expenditures of $1.5 billion, up 13.4 percent from the previous year. Operational activities of the Ministry are highlighted. Approximately 50 tables and 5 figures are included.
