Abstract
THE AUTHOR CONCLUDES THAT A DIRECT CAUSATIVE RELATION CANNOT BE POSTULATED FOR THE INCREASE IN CRIME AND URBAN AND INDUSTRIAL GROWTH, BUT THESE PHENOMENA DO LEAD TO PERSONAL DISRUPTION AND SOCIAL DISORGANIZATION, WHICH ENHANCE THE DANGER OF CRIMINAL CONDUCT.
