REPORT PRESENTS MEASURES FOR WEIGHING THE PROGRESS OF OFFENDER REHABILITATION PROGRAMS.
Abstract
THIS REPORT DEFINES TWO OVERALL CRITERIA FOR JUDGING OFFENDER REHABILITATION PROGRAMS: RECIDIVISM AND EMPLOYMENT. BUT TO MEASURE THAT CRITERIA, A NUMBER OF FACTORS MUST BE TAKEN INTO ACCOUNT. THESE INCLUDE STAFFING AND EQUIPMENT REQUIREMENTS, LOCATION OF THE ANALYTIC UNIT, AND METHODS OF ANALYSIS TO BE USED. GOAL ACHIEVEMENT, ACCORDING TO THE REPORT, IS FURTHER MEASURED BY THE DEGREE OF ONGOING TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT OF THE REHABILITATION STAFF. COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT AND AWARENESS ABOUT OFFENDER REHABILITATION PROGRAMS IS HELPFUL AND DESIRED. SYSTEMS FLOW CHARTS AND SAMPLE PROGRESS REPORT FORMS ARE INCLUDED....BS
