Abstract
THE EVALUATION FOCUSES ON THE FOLLOWING: ORGANIZATION STRUCTURE AND MANAGEMENT PRACTICES; MANPOWER REQUIREMENTS, STAFFING, AND EMPLOYMENT PRACTICES; FIELD PROCEDURES, INCLUDING PATROL TRAFFIC, AND INVESTIGATION FUNCTIONS; COMMUNICATIONS, RECORD-KEEPING, AND RELATED SUPPORT ACTIVITIES; FACILITIES, EQUIPMENT, AND MAINTENANCE. PROBLEMS WERE FOUND AND RECOMMENDATIONS MADE IN THE FOLLOWING AREAS: ORGANIZATION AND STAFFING, PATROL FORCE DEPLOYMENT, POLICE RECORDS, PERSONNEL PRACTICES, AND FACILITIES AND EQUIPMENT. THIS STUDY WAS CARRIED OUT IN OCTOBER OF 1975.
