DESCRIPTION OF A PROGRAM DEVELOPED FOR TRAINING FULL TIME PROFESSIONAL DEFENDER ATTORNEYS WHO MANAGE MAINLY LARGE DEFENDER OFFICES/SYSTEMS.
Abstract
THE PROGRAM WAS DIVIDED INTO TWO SESSIONS, FIRST A 3-DAY MEETING IN SEPTEMBER 1975, AND A SECOND 2-DAY MEETING CONDUCTED 6 WEEKS LATER. THE SECOND SESSIONS CONSISTED PRIMARILY OF FEEDBACK PARTICIPANT REPORTS ON THEIR USE OF MANAGERIAL TECHNIQUES LEARNED IN THE FIRST SESSION. PROGRAM METHODS INCLUDED TRANSACTIONAL ANALYSIS, GROUP DISCUSSION, PERSONAL COUNSELING, AND ROLE PLAYING. TWENTY-SIX STUDENTS PARTICIPATED IN THE PROGRAM.
