Abstract
THE FILM OPENS WITH A QUERY ABOUT THE LIMITS OF FREEDOM OF SPEECH AND ASSEMBLY, UNDERSCORED BY NEWSREEL SHOTS OF VIOLENCE AND OPPRESSION UNDER FOREIGN DICTATORSHIPS AND SCENES OF PROTEST IN THIS COUNTRY. CONCERNED CITIZENS VOICE OPPOSING OPINIONS. AFTER INTRODUCING THE FIRST AMENDMENT, THREE ENACTED SEQUENCES ARE PRESENTED WITH PROVISION TO STOP THE PROJECTOR BETWEEN EACH SEQUENCE FOR DISCUSSION OF THE QUESTIONS PRESENTED. (AUTHOR ABSTRACT)
