DATED JULY 19, 1973 THIS REPORT PRESENTS THE ANALYSES OF FIVE CONSULTANTS ON SECURITY ARRANGEMENTS AND LAW ENFORCEMENT OPERATIONS NECESSARY FOR EXPO '74, A WORLD EXPOSITION LASTING FROM MAY THROUGH OCTOBER 1974.
Abstract
EACH CONSULTANT ADDRESSES A SPECIFIC AREA OF CONCERN AND OFFERS RECOMMENDATIONS ON PROCEDURES AND ARRANGEMENTS. THE AREAS DISCUSSED INCLUDE PROVISION OF ADEQUATE MANPOWER TO HANDLE THE EXPO SITUATION, AIRPORT SECURITY AND OPERATIONS IN CONNECTION WITH A WORLD EXPOSITION, PROBLEMS OF JUVENILE DELINQUENCY THAT MAY ARISE DURING SUCH AN EXPOSITION, PROBLEMS OF PROTOCOL AND THE LEGALITIES INVOLVED IN THE ARREST AND/OR PROSECUTION OF FOREIGN NATIONALS, THE ANTICIPATED REQUESTS FOR POLICE SERVICES, RECRUITMENT OF EXPO EMPLOYEES, SECURITY TRAINING FOR POLICE AND SECURITY PERSONNEL, AND POLICE AND SECURITY COMMUNICATIONS.
