THIS IS AN EVALUATION OF A NEIGHBORHOOD WATCH PROGRAM THAT OPERATES BY SENDING OFFICERS INTO SECTIONS OF THE CITY TO TALK WITH RESIDENTS ABOUT IMPROVING THEIR HOME AND PERSONAL SECURITY.
Abstract
THE DOCUMENT BEGINS WITH A SHORT SUMMARY OF THE PROJECT'S ACTIVITIES AND THE FINDINGS OF THE EVALUATION. THIS IS FOLLOWED BY A STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM, THE PROJECT'S PURPOSE, BUDGET, GOALS, OBJECTIVES, AND TASKS. THE EVALUATION DESIGN, THE REVISED DESIGN, AND METHODOLOGICAL NOTES ARE EXPLAINED. THE THIRD SECTION PRESENTS AN ANALYSIS OF THE EFFECTIVENESS AND EFFICIENCY MEASURES. INCLUDED ARE THE ANALYSIS OF THE 1975 TARGETED AREA AND THE 1976 TARGETED AREA AS COMPARED TO THE REMAINDER OF THE CITY. THE LAST SECTION PRESENTS A COMPARISON OF THIS PERIOD'S RESULTS WITH PREVIOUS EVALUATIONS.
