FOUNDATIONS, CORPORATIONS, LABOR UNIONS, CHARITABLE ORGANIZATIONS, AND SERVICE CLUBS ARE ALSO TREATED AS POSSIBLE SOURCES OF MONEY. THE ELEMENTS THAT GO INTO WRITING A SUCCESSFUL PROPOSAL ARE DISCUSSED AND YOUTH WORKERS ARE ADVISED ON HOW TO INFLUENCE LEGISLATIVE AND ADMINISTRATIVE FUNDING DECISIONS. THE MANUAL PROVIDES EXTENSIVE LISTINGS ON MORE THAN 70 FEDERAL PROGRAMS CURRENTLY SUPPLYING MONEY TO YOUTH SERVICES IN SUCH AREAS AS JUVENILE JUSTICE, DELINQUENCY PREVENTION, YOUTH EMPLOYMENT, ALCOHOL AND DRUG ABUSE, MENTAL HEALTH, EDUCATION, ADOLESCENT PREGNANCY, AND RUNAWAYS.
