INCLUDED IN THIS VOLUME IS AN ACCOUNT OF THE SALEM WITCH TRIALS OF 1692. A GENERAL INTRODUCTION EXPLAINS THE SIGNIFICANCE OF 'STATE TRIALS' (PUBLISHED IN ENGLAND BETWEEN 1809-1826) AS A WHOLE.
