Abstract
Statistics on the population of adult corrections institutions and work release address the average daily population and rated capacity by month for each correctional institution, the female average daily inmate population and rated capacity by month for each institution, the racial and Hispanic-origin distribution of resident inmates, and the distribution of offenses. Other information on inmates in institutions and on work release covers the distribution of offenses, the distribution of violent-crime convictions, age distribution and average age, the distribution of sentencing authority, and the racial and Hispanic-origin distribution of resident female inmates. Data on admissions to prison are by month and type of admission, type and county of conviction, age at admission by race and sex and by Hispanic-origin and sex, by county and race, by type and sentencing authority, by offense and type of admission, and by month by sex. Statistics on releases from prison are by type of release and month; by race and Hispanic-origin and release type; length of stay by category of admission, offense, offense for WEC graduates, and offense for CCI/WEC violators; all releases by sentencing authority; and releases by month and sex. 25 tables
