EX-CONVICT'S THOUGHTS ON HIS LIFE IN PRISON, CRIME AND DELINQUENCY CAUSATION, SOCIETY'S ATTITUDE AND TREATMENT OF OFFENDERS, AND FLAWS IN THE CRIMINAL JUSTICE SYSTEM.
Abstract
THE AUTHOR DESCRIBES LIFE IN PRISON AND TRACES THE DEVELOPMENT OF HIS CRIMINAL CAREER. HE USES EXAMPLES FROM HIS PERSONAL EXPERIENCES AND FROM EXPERIENCES OF OTHER CONVICTED PEOPLE TO EXPLAIN THE CAUSES OF CRIME AND WHO IS A CRIMINAL. EMPHASIS IS PLACED ON THE NEED FOR STRICT PARENTAL DISCIPLINE DURING A CHILD'S GROWING YEARS AND FOR REHABILITATIVE PROGRAMS FOR INCARCERATED INDIVIDUALS. COMMENTS ARE ALSO MADE ON PROBLEMS WITH THE LAW, THE POLICE, AND THE COURT SYSTEM.
