REPORT ON A MEETING OF STATISTICAL AND LEGAL EXPERTS REPRESENTING FRANCE, HUNGARY, YUGOSLAVIA, POLAND AND GREECE WHO MET IN MARCH, 1967, TO PLAN FOR A COMPARATIVE STUDY OF ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AND JUVENILE DELINQUENCY.
Abstract
ALTHOUGH DIFFERENCES IN THE RESPECTIVE CRIMINAL CODES AND LEGAL SYSTEMS RESULTED IN HESITANCY, CONFRONTATIONS AND EXPLANATIONS OF OBSCURE POINTS, THE DELEGATES WERE SURPRISED AND PLEASED AT THE PROGRESS THAT WAS MADE. HOWEVER, THEY REALIZED THAT MUCH MORE HARD WORK REMAINED TO BE DONE BEFORE THE STUDY COULD BE CARRIED OUT. TABLES GROUPING THE RESPECTIVE STATUTORY PROVISIONS OF THE FIVE COUNTRIES COVERING THE OFFENSES UNDER DISCUSSION IN ROUGH EQUIVALENCY, AS DETERMINED BY THE DELEGATES' DISCUSSIONS, ARE INCLUDED.
