THE CASES OF A NUMBER OF ADOLESCENTS CHARGED WITH INDICTABLE OFFENSES ARE STUDIED WITH A CONTROL GROUP FOR STATISTICAL COMPARISON CONCERNING DELINQUENCY CAUSES.
Abstract
SIX ASPECTS OF THE PARENTAL CIRCUMSTANCES WERE EXAMINED. THEY INCLUDE FATHER'S WORK RECORD, PARENTAL MATRIMONIAL RELATIONSHIP, LEGITIMACY, EVIDENCE OF MENTAL ILLNESS, SEXUAL PERVERSION, CHRONIC PHYSICAL ILLNESS, SUICIDE, OR ATTEMPTED SUICIDE BY THE PARENTS, HISTORY OF ALCOHOLISM IN EITHER PARENT, AND EVIDENCE OF CRIMINALITY ON THE PART OF EITHER PARENT.
