A COMPARISON OF EVALUATION REPORTS OF NON-COLLEGE EDUCATED POLICE OFFICERS AND COLLEGE EDUCATED AGENTS INDICATED THAT THE LATTER CONSISTENTLY RECEIVED HIGHER EVALUATIONS, REGARDLESS OF THE TYPE OF DEGREE HELD.
Abstract
THE SAMPLE CONSISTED OF 97 OFFICERS AND 113 AGENTS, ALL OF WHOM HAD ATTENDED THE SAME 19 WEEK POLICE ACADEMY TRAINING PROGRAM. THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN EDUCATION AND PERFORMANCE PERSISTED WHEN CONTROLLING FOR AGE, MILITARY SERVICE, RACE, AND INTELLIGENCE.
