Abstract
THE STUDY WAS UNDERTAKEN TO DETERMINE THE ETIOLOGY OF THEIR BEHAVIORAL DISORDERS AND TO PREDICT THE POSSIBILITY OF RECIDIVISM. THE CHILDREN, 10 TO 18 YEARS OF AGE, WERE INTERVIEWED IN OBSERVATION HOUSES AND WERE GIVEN PSYCHIATRIC, MEDICAL, AND PSYCHOLOGICAL TESTS. PARENTS AND TEACHERS WERE ALSO INTERVIEWED, AND DIRECT OBSERVATION WAS EMPLOYED. THE FINDINGS WERE ANALYZED TO TAKE ACCOUNT OF SUCH FACTORS AS TYPE OF OFFENSES, AGE, GEOGRAPHIC RESIDENCE, EDUCATION, EMPLOYMENT, INTELLIGENCE, HEALTH, AND FAMILY BACKGROUND.
