This paper is a description of the options available within the Penal Code of the GDR for negligent crimes.
Abstract
While the German Democratic Republic (GDR) decriminalized many formerly punishable offenses when it promulgated the Penal Code of 1968, for negligent acts still subject to criminal sanctions, the Penal Code provides a wide range of punishments, sufficiently wide so that the punishment can truly fit the crime.
