The six primary articles of this edition of TechBeat discuss new technologies for use by law enforcement. GPS Device Hits the Spot examines the use of GPS by a small, rural police department in Nebraska. Body Armor Follow-Up Testing Component Launched discusses the follow-up testing process to the National Institute of Justice's Body Armor Compliance Testing Program. Officer-Worn Cameras Expand Point of View discusses the use of officer-worn video cameras by police departments. Supporting NIJ in the Fight Against Electronic Crime presents information on the establishment of the Electronic Crime Technology Center of Excellence. Mapping Parole Caseloads examines the use of mapping software to monitor parolees by police departments in Colorado and Rhode Island. NIJ's Forensic Technologies Center of Excellence Offers Free Lab Audits discusses laboratory audits conducted by the National Forensic Science Technology Center.
