Abstract
The ENP was founded in March 1989. It is a non-profit organization independent of any government, political persuasion or group. Its main objective is to “optimize the position of women in the European police services” by: (1) Exchanging knowledge, information, and experiences; (2) Stimulating international research and training; (3) Organizing conferences and seminars; (4) Initiating the formation of national networks of policewomen; (5) Promoting mutual support among European policewomen; and (6) Establishing contacts in all European countries and building a database of contact addresses. The report is divided into 10 sections: General Information About the European Network of Policewomen; General Structure; Finance; An Overview of all Activities in the Past 10 Years; Conferences and Seminars; Training and Research; Networks/Country Activities; Public Relations and Marketing; and Violence Against Women.
