Abstract
The report provides organizational charts as well as an explication of the Department's mission, vision, and values. The report contains an historical summary of the female felon in Tennessee, focusing on changes in the female felon population, and resulting challenges to correctional management. Another section summarizes outcomes of the Scotty Grubbs et al v. Christine J. Bradley et al lawsuit, which challenged the constitutionality of prison conditions in several Tennessee facilities on the grounds of overcrowding.
