Abstract
IN THE AUTHOR'S OPINION, THE FOLLOWING PARTICULARS SHOULD BE ESTABLISHED AND KEPT UP-TO-DATE IN EVERY COUNTRY - (A) A DEFINITION OF YOUTH WORKERS,(B) CLASSIFICATION AND STATISTICS OF DIFFERENT CATEGORIES OF YOUTH WORKERS, ACCORDING TO THE ENVIRONMENT, TYPE OF ORGANIZATION OR INSTITUTION AND EDUCATIONAL OR ADMINISTRATIVE SECTOR IN WHICH THEY WORK, (C) DATA ON THE BACKGROUND, STATUS AND RECLASSIFICATION POSSIBILITIES OF PROFESSIONAL STAFF, (D) CLASSIFICATION AND ANNUAL STATISTICS OF THE DIFFERENT TRAINING COURSES, (E) DATA ON THE COST OF TRAINING VOLUNTARY AND PROFESSIONAL STAFF, DISTINGUISHING THE SHARES BORNE BY PUBLIC FUNDS AND BY PRIVATE DONATIONS, (F) DATA ON THE EFFICIENCY, FROM THE SOCIAL POINT OF VIEW, OF SPECIFIC PROGRAMMES SET UP FOR YOUTH WORKERS, STARTING, FOR EXAMPLE, BY ESTABLISHING THE RELATIONS BETWEEN EFFORTS MADE FOR THEIR TRAINING AND THE SIZE OF THE YOUTH ORGANIZATIONS OR INSTITUTIONS CONCERNED.
