Abstract
THE AUTHOR, A LAW PROFESSOR WHO IS ALSO AN EXPERT IN CRIMINALISTICS, EMPHASIZES THE NEED FOR PAIN STAKING SCIENTIFIC EXAMINATIONS OF FINGER PRINTS IN PREPARING FOR TESTIMONY, CAREFUL RESPONSES TO QUESTIONS, AND OBJECTIVE ACCOUNTS OF EXAMINATION RESULTS. HE ALSO COMMENTS UPON THE QUALIFICATIONS WHICH THE COURTS REQUIRE OF AN EXAMINER TO BE CLASSIFIED AS AN EXPERT WITNESS.
