Abstract
THE TEXAS JUVENILE JUSTICE CONFERENCE WAS HELD IN AUSTIN ON JANUARY 31 AND FEBRUARY 1, 1974 BY THE TEXAS PROBATION TRAINING PROJECT OF SAM HOUSTON STATE UNIVERSITY AND THE TEXAS CENTER FOR THE JUDICIARY. SPEAKERS, PANELS, AND SMALL GROUP DISCUSSIONS WERE USED IN THE FORMAT. THIS REPORT INCLUDES A CONFERENCE AGENDA, A LIST OF PARTICIPANTS, AND AN EVALUATION OF THE CONFERENCE. TEXTS OF THE SPEECHES PRESENTED AT THE CONFERENCE ARE PROVIDED, AND INCLUDE SUCH TOPICS AS: AN OVERVIEW TO TITLE III OF THE NEW FAMILY CODE; CHILDREN IN NEED OF SUPERVISION, MENTAL ILLNESS, AND RETARDATION UNDER TITLE III; AND THE TEXAS YOUTH COUNCIL AND TITLE III.
