THIS ARTICLE POINTS OUT HOW SECURITY GUARDS MAKING ROUNDS AT PREDICTABLE TIMES ARE LEAVING THE GUARDED PREMISES WIDE OPEN FOR CRIME.
Abstract
STAGGERED TIMES ARE ALWAYS SUPERIOR TO A ROUTINE SCHEDULE OF PATROL WORK. PARTICULAR EMPHASIS SHOULD BE DIRECTED TOWARD FENCE-LINES, GATES, BUILDINGS, LIGHTING, TERRAIN, AND IN COME CASES, WEATHER. SUPERVIORS SHOULD RIDE OR WALK 'SHOTGUN' WITH THE PATROLS AT VARIOUS TIMES TO ENSURE ADEQUATE COVERAGE. SECURITY DRILLS SHOULD BE PERIODICALLY PLANNED. IT IS IMPORTANT TO KEEP A PICTURE OF NORMAL CONDITIONS SO THAT ABNORMAL CONDITIONS ARE QUICK TO BE OBSERVED....BDS
