PROPER PROCEDURES FOR BANK EMPLOYEES TO FOLLOW IN THE EVENT OF A ROBBERY ARE DEPICTED IN THIS FILM.
Abstract
A MAN WALKS INTO A BANK AND PASSES THE TELLER A NOTE, DEMANDING ALL OF HER MONEY. THE TELLER COMPLIES, BUT SHE NEGLECTS TO GIVE HIM A BUNDLE OF SPECIALLY MARKED BILLS AND FAILS TO PRESS THE ALARM. SHE THEN SHOUTS TO SEVERAL LOAN OFFICERS, TELLING THEM TO GO AFTER THE MAN. THE BANKERS CHASE THE MAN, WHO TURNS ON THEM AND SHOOTS, HITTING A YOUNG BOY WALKING IN THE PARKING LOT. THE POLICE FINALLY ARRIVE AND TRY TO GET A DESCRIPTION FROM THE TELLER, WHO IS SO CONFUSED THAT SHE CANNOT REMEMBER A THING. THIS CHAIN OF EVENTS BREAKS ALL SET PROCEDURES FOR BANK EMPLOYEES TO FOLLOW IN THE EVENT OF A ROBBERY. THE SAME ROBBERY IS REPEATED AGAIN, BUT THE PROPER PROCEDURES ARE FOLLOWED. THE TELLER IMMEDIATELY PUSHES THE ALARM BUTTON AND GIVES THE ROBBER THE MARKED MONEY. AFTER THE ROBBER FLEES, SHE GOES TO THE BANK MANGAGER'S OFFICE AND TELLS HIM ABOUT THE ROBBERY. THE MANAGER COMES OUT AND HAS THE LOAN OFFICERS TAKE A POLAROID SNAPSHOT OF THE ROBBER'S CAR AS HE ESCAPES. THE REST OF THE BANK EMPLOYEES ARE TOLD TO REMAIN AT THEIR STATIONS, AND THEY ARE GIVEN ROBBERY DESCRIPTION FORMS. THE POLICE COME, CHECK THE SCENE, COLLECT THE DESCRIPTION FORMS, AND TAKE THE ROBBER'S NOTE. GREAT CARE IS TAKEN SO THAT ALL OF THE INFORMATION IS OBTAINED PROPERLY. THE POLICE OFFICERS CALL LATER TO TELL THE BANK THAT THE ROBBER WAS CAUGHT. AND THAT ALL THE MONEY WAS RECOVERED. IT IS NECESSARY TO FOLLOW PROPER PROCEDURE AFTER BANK ROBBERIES IN ORDER TO AVOID CONFUSION, ORGANIZE INFORMATION AND PROTECT EVIDENCE. A TRAINING MANUAL IS INCLUDED WITH THE FILM. (BAC)
