OPINION AND RESEARCH ARE REVIEWED ON HOW WOMEN CAN BEST EXTRACT THEMSELVES FROM A POTENTIAL RAPE SITUATION.
Abstract
BECAUSE OF THE LACK OF INFORMATION, A METHODOLOGICAL FRAMEWORK IS OUTLINED FOR HOW FUTURE RESEARCH MIGHT PROCEED TO ANSWER THIS QUESTION. PRACTICAL IMPLICATIONS ARE SUGGESTED, AND THE ARGUMENT IS MADE THAT A MORE BALANCED CONCEPTUALIZATION OF VICTIM RESPONSE TO RAPE MUST BE INTEGRATED WITH A MATURE THEORY OF OFFENDER MOTIVATION.
