Abstract
THE COMMERCIAL ITEMS TESTED WERE THE MKIV CHEMICAL MACE AND THE FEDERAL STREAMER NO. 280. THE LOCALLY PREPARED FORMULATIONS WERE CS IN TRIOCTYLPHOSPHATE (TDF), CS IN POLYETHYLENE GLYCOL (PEG 200), AND CS IN PROPYLENE GLYCOL. MONKEYS, RABBITS, DOGS, AND HUMANS WERE TESTED. BASED ON THE OVERALL RESULTS, CS/TOF IS DEFINITELY SAFER THAN THE TWO COMMERCIAL ITEMS. (AUTHOR ABSTRACT MODIFIED)
