Abstract
POLICE POLICY, PRACTICE, AND PROCEDURE IN HANDLING JUVENILE CASES ARE COVERED. UNITS ARE - METHODS AND MATERIALS AFFECTING POLICE TRAINING IN JUVENILE RELATIONS, DETERMINING TRAINING NEEDS, INCLUDING ANALYSIS OF CRITICAL INCIDENTS, CITIZEN COMPLAINTS, INSPECTIONS, PERFORMANCE RATINGS, AND COMMUNITY RELATIONS, CURRICULUM DEVELOPMENT, AND SUGGESTED CURRICULUM FOR POLICE TRAINING IN JUVENILE MATTERS. THE TEACHERS SHOULD BE LAW ENFORCEMENT PERSONNEL AND HAVE EXPERIENCE IN LAW ENFORCEMENT AND TRAINING. SUPPLEMENTARY MATERIALS INCLUDE, CURRICULUM SUGGESTIONS FOR TWO WORKSHOPS, TRAINING PROGRAM AND COACHING PROCEDURES, ROLE OF THE POLICE IN JUVENILE DELINQUENCY, SAMPLE LESSON PLAN FORMAT, FILMS FOR USE IN POLICE TRAINING ON JUVENILE MATTERS, AND A BIBLIOGRAPHY.
