BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE LEGAL TRAINING METHODS USED FOR PERSONS ENGAGED IN CRIME DETERRENCE AND PREVENTION IN THE U.S.S.R.
Abstract
THE ARTICLE FOCUSES ON THE MEANS BY WHICH PEOPLE'S ASSESSORS AND MEMBERS OF THE COMRADESHIP COURTS ARE TRAINED FOR THEIR POSITIONS. SINCE THESE NONPROFESSIONALS ARE ELECTED TO THEIR POSITIONS, THEY OFTEN LACK THE KNOWLEDGE NECESSARY FOR THE FULFILLMENT OF THEIR TASKS. THEIR TRAINING TAKES THE FORM OF UNIVERSITY STUDIES, USE OF NUMEROUS PUBLICATIONS, SEMINARS, AND DAILY CONSULTATIONS WITH PROFESSIONALS IN THE LEGAL FIELD.
