An adapted version of the Bortner and Rosenman scale identified a sample of New Zealand police recruits as having a proportion of Type A individuals similar to that of the general population; the highest mean score was found among supervisors and the lowest among constables who had served at least ten years and had no interest in promotion.
Abstract
Implications of these findings for stress management programs are discussed. (Publisher abstract)
