DISCUSSION OF VARIOUS ASPECTS OF POLITICAL CRIMES AND ACTS OF VIOLENCE AND THE DIFFICULTY INVOLVED IN ACHIEVING AGREEMENT ON THE INTERNATIONAL LEVEL IN REGARD TO SANCTIONS BECAUSE SUCH ACTS ARE POLITICALLY MOTIVATED.
Abstract
SO-CALLED CRIMES AGAINST HUMANITY, GENOCIDE, AGGRESSION (MILITARY AND POLITICAL), OPPRESSIVE RULE BY UNPOPULAR MINORITIES, ETC., AS WELL AS TERRORISTIC ASSASSINATIONS, SABOTAGE, ETC., ARE POLITICALLY INSPIRED. BUT THE OPPOSITION TO THEM IS ALSO POLITICALLY INSPIRED. HENCE IT HAS BEEN EXTREMELY DIFFICULT, OVER THE YEARS, TO ARRIVE AT GENERALLY ACCEPTABLE DEFINITIONS OF THESE CONCEPTS, MUCH LESS GENERALLY ACCEPTABLE WORDING OF LEGAL INSTRUMENTS OUTLAWING THEM. --IN FRENCH
