This report on crime in Wyoming for 1988 presents data on reported crime from January through December 1988 as well as crime trends in the State for the past 5 years (1984-1988).
Abstract
Data cover violent crimes, property crimes, crime rates, the distribution of index offenses, clearances, and monthly and seasonal fluctuations. Offense statistics address murder, forcible rape, robbery, assault, burglary, larceny-theft, motor vehicle theft, and arson. Data on domestic violence incidents come from all police agencies within whose jurisdictions the incidents occurred. Information is also included on fingerprint card submission from all Wyoming criminal justice agencies. Data on persons arrested provide total State arrest information and arrest data broken down by county. Data on law enforcement personnel presented statewide and by county cover the total number of employees, the number of officers broken down by male and female, number of civilians broken down by male and female, officers per 1,000 population, and index crimes per officer. 49 tables, 21 figures.
