This document summarizes the activities of the United Nations Interregional Crime & Justice Research Institute (UNICRI) for the years 1993 and 1994.
Abstract
The objective of UNICRI is to contribute to the formulation and implementation of improved policies in the field of crime prevention and control, with due regard for the integration of such policies within broader policies for socioeconomic change and development, and the protection of human rights. The Institute conducts research, training and field activities, and collects, exchanges and disseminates information. The Institute's work is overseen by the Board of Trustees, which met on three occasions during 1993-94. Activities of the Institute are described in the following areas: (1) Executive Direction and Management; (2) Financial, Administration and Program Support; (3) Documentation Services; (4) Program Activity, both General and Priority; (5) Seminars, Conferences and Meetings Hosted or Organized by UNICRI, and those in which UNICRI participated; (6) Visitors to the Institute; and (7) Publications.
