FINAL PROGRESS REPORT OF TEACHING, SERVICE, AND RESEARCH PROGRAMS DEVELOPED OR CONTINUED IN THE PROJECT'S THIRD YEAR OF OPERATION.
Abstract
THE CENTER WAS CREATED TO PROVIDE A NATIONAL CENTER FOR THE EDUCATION OF CORRECTIONAL PSYCHOLOGISTS. RESEARCH ACTIVITIES, ALABAMA SYMPOSIA ON CRIMINAL JUSTICE TOPICS, LECTURES AND WORKSHOPS HAVE BEEN UNDERTAKEN TO FURTHER THE PROGRAM'S OBJECTIVES. AN EVALUATION COMPARES TWENTY GOALS STATED AT THE BEGINNING OF THE YEAR WITH ACTUAL ACHIEVEMENTS. AN INDEPENT EVALUATION INCLUDED CONCLUDES THAT THE CENTER IS WELL STAFFED, WELL RECEIVED, SERVES A REASONABLE NUMBER OF STUDENTS AND SUPPORTS TRAINING EFFORTS OF CRIMINAL JUSTICE AGENCIES.
