These highlighted products and resources were developed through collaborative efforts guided by the U.S. Department of Justice's (DOJ) Global Justice Information Sharing Initiative (Global).
Abstract
Global established four working groupsthe Criminal Intelligence Coordinating Council/Intelligence Working Group, the Infrastructure/Standards Working Group, the Security Working Group, and the Privacy and Information Quality Working Group. The four groups work on issues impacting justice information sharing, and they work collaboratively to address the policy, connectivity, and jurisdictional issues that have hampered effective justice information sharing. The working groups developed a wide array of products that enable the broad scale exchange of pertinent justice and public safety information. These products are listed and are applicable to courts, corrections, law enforcement, information technology, planning, and management at the city, county, State, tribal, and national levels. Many of the subjects covered are applicable to any justice information sharing initiative, while some focus on issues related to specific segments of the justice community.
