Abstract
Following the introductory chapter, which outlines the Commission's authority, statutory mission, basic approach, resolution of major issues, the manual outlines sentencing guidelines for various types of offense conduct. The sections cover offenses against the person, property offenses, offenses involving public officials, drug-related offenses, criminal enterprises and racketeering, fraud or deceit, prostitution or sexual exploitation of minors, offenses involving individual rights, offenses involving the administration of justice, offenses involving public safety, immigration offenses, offenses involving national defense, offenses involving food and drugs, offenses involving prisons and correctional facilities, money laundering and other illegal transactions, offenses involving taxation, and miscellaneous offenses. The remaining chapters discuss sentence adjustments, criminal history and criminal livelihood, determining the sentence, sentencing procedures and plea agreements, violations of probation and supervised release, and sentencing of organizations. 3 appendixes
