MANUAL CONTAINS GUIDANCE FOR THE DEPLOYMENT OF DOG TEAMS, TRAINING, AND ADMINISTRATIVE AND PROFICIENCY INSPECTION.
Abstract
THE PRIMARY MISSION OF MILITARY WORKING DOGS, WHILE ASSIGNED TO SECURITY POSTS, IS TO DETECT AND WARN THE HANDLER OF THE PRESENCE OF AN INTRUDER! IN ADDITION TO GROUND DEFENSE OPERATIONS, THESE ANIMALS ARE USED ON PATROLS, AT CRIME SCENES, FOR RIOT AND CROWD CONTROL, AND FOR TRACKING. PATROL-DETECTOR DOGS ARE ALSO USED WHEREVER DRUG TRAFFIC OR USAGE IS A PROBLEM.
